About Me:My name is Mary Linda, but everyone calls me Linda. I live in Bridgeton, NJ, but am originally from Alamogordo, New Mexico. My mother is from Spain (Sevilla) and because of her I grew up dancing Sevillanas and Rumba flamenco, Mexican Folk Dance, and ballet. Dancing has always been a passion for me, growing up my family exposed me to all different types of music, cultures and types of dance. I learned to love them all. Zumba allows me to use the dance rhythms I love and integrate them into a fitness routine. When you include dance into your fitness routine somehow it just becomes fun!
I started Zumba 2 years ago, when I was activated by the military, and when I was released from duty I joined a gym in order to maintain my fitness standard that the military requires me to be. My Instructor Omar Garcia Lopez, a phenomenal Zumba instructor, inspired me to become an instructor. Every time I went to his classes it was a feeling of happiness, excitement, and ready to do it again. The joy I felt after completing his classes was just incredible. That when I left again for the military I felt like I was missing out. So I decided in becoming a Zumba instructor, so wherever I go I can either lead a class or join a class. Now that I have the skills, I am ready to have my own class, and give people a great cardio work out with a positive atmosphere. Not only is Zumba a great cardio, but it is also great mentally. What I really enjoy about Zumba is that you can get an intense workout and have fun at the same time! In my class I will be teaching reggaeton, salsa, merengue, cumbia, quebradita, belly dance, hip hop and much more. I can’t wait to meet you and dance together… let’s join the party!!! Feel free to e-mail me!
